Configure the Satellite Receiver

The satellite receiver and satellite dish positioner need to be configured to work together to move the dish to the correct positions so the the dish points accurately at the correct satellite. The positioner stores each of the satellite positions as a two digit number. When you change channels to another satellite position, the receiver sends this two digit number to the positioner. The positioner then converts this into its three digit number and sends power to the actuator to turn the dish.

You could store each position directly into the positioner and then into the receiver. The better way is to just store it in the receiver, as the receiver will then copy it across to the positioner.
